Attitude<\/a>, they say that half the kids with ADHD also have a learning disability. I have no way to validate that but, to be honest, I have no reason to doubt it. Not all of our kids have a learning disability, but let’s just say that the term “lesdyxia” is common in our house; and it’s generally uttered in frustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\nI want to shout this out loud: LEARNING DISABILITIES IS NOT IN ANYWAY RELATED TO A PERSONS INTELLIGENCE OR APTITUDE. But, if you are not careful, they can most certainly lead to low self-esteem and depression. Especially so in children. But knowing is half the battle. It takes me 3 times longer to read and comprehend a paragraph than it does my wife. But my attitude is “that’s just the way it is”. It doesn’t frustrate me or <\/p>\n\n\n\n
